FREEDOM AWAITS YOU!

In John 8:36 Jesus makes a wonderful statement of victory. He says, “So if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed.”

God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.

John 3:16-17

Why is it that most people are not experiencing the

abundant life?

We were created to have fellowship with God, but because of our stubborn self-will, we chose to go our own way, and our fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is what the Bible calls sin.

All of us sin, and our sin has separated us from God.

WE ARE SINFUL

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 3:23

WE ARE SEPARATED

The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)

Death is spiritual separation from God.

This image illustrates that God is holy and people are sinful. A great gulf separates us. We are continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through our own efforts, such as living a good life, philosophy, or religion – but we inevitably fail.

Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin. Through Him we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

HE DIED IN OUR PLACE

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us

JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD &

Christ died for our sins ... He was buried ... He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures ... He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred. 1 Corinthians 15:3-6

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD

God has bridged the gulf that separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.

We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

WE MUST RECEIVE CHRIST

As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name (John 1:12).

THROUGH FAITH

By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

When we receive Christ, we experience a new birth.

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.

It's YOUR Choice

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

"...I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore

choose life

that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days;..."

YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE

• YOU CAN CONTINUE TO LIVE YOUR LIFE ON YOUR TERMS IN YOUR OWN WAY
• IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SAVIOR (JESUS) YOU ARE STILL IN YOUR SIN AND REMAIN SEPARATED FROM GOD NOW AND FOR ETERNITY

OR

• You can choose Christ
• You give Jesus control of your life and choose to live for Him as Lord. You accept that he’s forgiven you and experience God’s love now for eternity.
• you receive God's power in his spirit to live and overcome life's challenges

You don't need a fancy prayer, have it all together, or be in a certain church to know

Jesus as your Savior.

Wherever you are,

He will meet you there.

Just be real...speak to Him in your own words

• Admit that you have sinned and need a Savior
• Ask JESUS to give you a new life in Him. Turn away from your old life and embrace a new life where you are saved by grace through faith in Jesus
• Commit to living your life for Christ. It's not going to be perfect, and it's not always easy, but His grace will get you through. You are also not going to have all the answers, none of us do. BUT as you seek Him, God will lead you forward into this new life

Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins and for forgiving me as far as the east is from the west. thank you for saving my life now and for eternity. even though I have so many questions and there is so much i don't understand right now, i know that My way doesn't work very well, and I need a new life in you. I ask you now to help me and live inside me. cover me with your spirit now as i leave my old ways and embrace you as my life, my lord and my savior. Amen.

WE ALL NEED JESUS! DON'T LET OTHERS WALK ALONE, LIVE IN FEAR, OR FEEL LOST AND CONFUSED FOR ONE MORE DAY.
